A.M. was held December 12 at Masonic Temple. Reports of the master, secretary, tjreas-urerand trustees were given, including a progress report of the Masonic Building Fund Committee.

Officers elected for 1978 were: Master, Gerald Aiken; senior warden, Alvin Mac-auley; junior warden, Theodore Williams; secretary, Kenneth A. Gottry; treasurer, Ear! Douglas for three years. Past Master Kaare A. Johansen conducted the election. Youth Pleads- Guilty To Burglaries CAMBRIDGE A 19-year-old Cambridge resident pleaded guilty to two counts of inird degree burgiary in connection with break-ins at the Cambridge Lumber Company and a garage in Jackson owned by St.

Patrick ricks Church in Cambridge. At court proceedings before Judge V. D. Orton, the youth waved grand jury indictment and will be sentenced December 14. The 19-year-olds name has been withheld because of youthful offender status.

VISITING RELATIVES PETERSBURG Mrs. Mable Marra is enjoying a visit from her son, Charles Marra, who is spending his vacation here from Oregon. Hewitt, 72, of North Hoosick, died December 8 at Putnam Memorial Hospital. Born in White Creek, Mr. Hewitt was the son of Frank-Elmer and Bertha Wyman Hewitt. He was a dairy farmer before retiring in 1957 and was a past officer in the Grange, as well as a member and former trustee of North Hoosick Methodist Church.

His first wife, the former Agnes Blanche Jones, died in 1955. Survivors include his wife, the former Florence Hillman; six daughters, Ethel Harrington of Hoosick, E. Bertha Hubbard of Pittstown, Iva Durkee, Gwendolyn White, Dora Ayers, Pearl Haskell, all of Hoosick Falls; two sisters, Anna May Hall of West Hoosick and Caroline Carey of Bennington, 20 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The funeral was held December 10 from Robson-Decker Funeral Home with the Rev. David Hubbard of Pittstown officiating.

Entombment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hoosick Falls. Interment will be held in the spring. Bearers were Terry Durkee, Daniel and Thomas Hubbard, Mark White, Kevin and Gerald Harrington. Mr. undell Former Diner Owner Dies CAMBRIDGE Horace E.

Rundell, 73, of Market St. Extension, Rt. 4, Washington, North Carolina, died suddenly December 3 in Beaufort County Hospital. He operated the Cambridge Diner for several years and following his retirement moved to Washington four years ago. Mr.

Rundell was born in Greenville September 25, 1904, son of Drake and Erma Rundell. He was married to the former Dorothy Palmer of Leeds on January 13, 194. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Ozzie Cole of Washington; two sisters, Mrs.

Martha Turon of Greenville and Mrs. Ruth Grenci of Winter Port, Maine. Graveside services were conducted December 5 by the Rev. J. C.

Hill, pastor of the Asbury United Methodist Church, in Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington. Services Held for Mary G. L. McGrath HOOSICK FALLS Miss Mary L. McGrath of 415 7th Avenue, Lansingburgh, died December 7 at Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.

A native of Hoosick Falls. Miss McGrath was the daughter of the late Patrick L. and Mary Jane Leonard McGrath. Miss McGrath was employed by the former Guett and Son Piano Co. of Tmu in wwf 'f secretary for her brother, William A.

McGrath, manager and flight instructor at Troy Airport. She was a communicant of St. Augustines Church, Lansingburgh, where funeral services were held December 10. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.

Survivors include her brother, William and several cousins. FRESHMAN CLASS DANCE SATURDAY CAMBRIDGE The Freshman Class of Cambridge Central School will sponsor a Disco Dance on Saturday night. Dec. 17 at 7 to 11 in the CCS auditorium. Music will be furnished by Sound Systems from Ben- nington.

Tickets will be sold at the door and refreshment PrabMWT Was Village Deputy Clerk HOOSICK FALLS Mrs. Doris M. Gorman, 57, died suddenly on December 11 at Putnam Memorial Hospital. Born May J2, 1920 in Troy, she was a graduate of Hoosick Falls Central School and Troy Business College. She was the daughter of the late Frank Kelyer, is survived by her mother, the former Lena Whittle, and resided with her mother at 50 Hoosick Street.

Mrs. Gormans husband Joseph, died in 1965. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Eastern Star, Womens Republican Club, where she served as secretary, a charter member of Hoosick Township Historical Society, and the First Baptist Church. At her time of death, she wasdeputy village clerk. Beside her mother, Mrs.

Gorman is survived by one daughter, Mary Beth Gorman of Hoosick Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Lidemann of Cohoes, and Mrs. Elizabeth Thomas, Hoosick Falls. Services were held Wednesday from Mahar Funeral Home, Hoosick Falls. The Rev.

Gordon Luther officiated. Entombment took place in St. Marys Cemetery, Hoosick Falls. Arthur Allen, 74 Services Held for SALEM Services for Arthur Allen, 74, of Granville, who died December 11 at Mary McClellan Hospital, Cambridge, were conducted Tuesday morning at the McClellan Funeral Home, Salem. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem in the spring.

Mr. Allen was born June 17, 1903, son of Arthur and Minnie Allen. He was a retired farmer. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Elliott of Bennington, five stepsons, Fred King of Kingsbury, William King of Whitehall, Frank King of Louisiana, Arthur King of Salem and John King of Bennington.

Hoosick Youth Found Shot HOOSICK A 15-year-old Town of Hoosick youth was found dead from gunshot wounds about a mile from his residence on Eddy Road by Rensselaer County Deputy Sheriffs Tuesday evening. According to police reports. William J. Sheridan, 15, of Eddy Road in the Town of Hoosick was found dead approximately a mile from his residence from an apparent gunshot wound by sheriffs deputies and contingents of the Rensselaer County Search and Rescue Team. He was reported missing at 5:45 p.m.

the same day and was believed to be hunting. Police would not theorize whether the death was self-inflicted, accidental, or the result of another hunter. Funeral arrangements were not yet available. William was the son of Mr. and Mrs.

Acadeay Street Grace vkfc Taught in NYC Over 40 Years HOOSICK FALLS Helena F. Kent, a native of Hoosick Falls, died at Crescent Manor Nursing Home on December 9.

Her funeral was held Monday in St. Francis de Sales Church of Bennington where the Liturgy of Christian Burial was offered. A prayer seryice in Mahar Son Funeral Home, Bennington, preceded the Mass. Entombment was in Park Lawn Chapel. Burial takes place next spring in St.

Marys Cemetery, Hoosick Falls The Rev. Gerald Bom-badier officiated at the funeral and bearers were all cousins. Miss Kent was born August 18, 1895, daughter of James F. and Margaret Butler Kent. She was educated in Hoosick Falls and New York City Schools, graduating from Barnard College.

She taught in the New York City school system more than 40 years. Her older sister, Mary Kent Pearson died in 1961. Surviving are cousins. Sister Regina Patricia Kent of Staten Island; Alice Harwood, Catherine Dickieson, Jean Hart, Gerald Morrissey, all of Bennington, Helen Marsh of Buffalo, Edith Simon, New York City. Former Resident Dies in Auto Accident HOOSICK FALLS Alan J.

Adams, 24, of Escondido, formerly of Hoosick Falls, died December 11 after an automobile accident in Escondido, Calif. Born in Albany, he was educated in Hoosick Falls schools and was formerly employed by Dodge Industries. He was most recently an employe of Southcom Industries in Escondido. Survivors include his parents, Robert F. Adams and Antoinette Adriance, both of Hoosick Falls; his wife, the former Margaret -Scarey; daughter, Sara Adamsr brother, Robert Adams of North Carolina; two sisters, Denise Hale of Bennington, Vt.

and Colleen Brandalik of Hoosick Falls and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday afternoon and evening from Mahar Funeral Home, Hoosick Falls. Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. from the funeral homev Entombment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hoosick Falls. N. Gordon Luther in First Baptist Church last Thursday. Bearers were John Callahan Dennis Callahan, Leslie Wortz, Thomas Meeson, Danny and Gary Tilley. Entombment was in Maple Grove Cemetery Vault. The American Legion and Masons held services at the Robson-Decker Funeral Home the night before.
