Survivors include one son, Donald Russell, Pownal, one daughter, Elizabeth Coulter of Schuylerville; one brother, John Young of Buskirk; 12 grandchildren and 26 greatgrandchildren. Services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Mahar Funeral Home, Hoosick Falls. Spring interment will be in Woodlands Cemetery, Cambridge.

He was past president of the Orange County and Washington County Medical Societies.

In 1962, Dr. Ezell retired to private practice in Salem and while in Salem was honored with the Citizen of the Year Award in 1973. It was at his award dinner that Dr. Ezell, who had been recovering from a long illness himself, stated. I learned something by being ill, that the support, good wishes and prayers of so many people made it easier to tolerate a long recovery period.

Margaret Sebastian CAMBRIDGE Margaret Sebastian, 83, of Avenue Cambridge, died Monday, Feb. 22, 1988, at her i HOOSICK FALLS There will be a meeting of the Town of Hoosick Republican Club on Wednesday, March 2 at the senior building on Church Street, Hoosick Falls.

All committee persons are required to be present at 6:45 p.m. The regular meeting will begin at 7:15 p.m. Any person interested is urged and welcomed to join. Refreshments will be served. Come and see what we are all about.

Firemans Open House HOOSICK FALLS The Hoosick Falls Fire Company has made arrangements for a covered dish buffet Open House at the V.F.W. at 7 p.m. March 5 to honor Bill Cronin. Mr. Cronin has been a member of the company for 60 years.

It is expected that representatives from the State, County and Village will be in attendance. Although it is not necessary, the members of the fire company will welcome donations to help defray expenses. Music will be provided by Cindy Legge. Cemetery Association Meets PETERSBURG The Pleasant Valley-Meadowlawn Cemetery Associations annual meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Weds.

March 9 at the Veterans Memorial Bldg, in Petersburg. Anyone interested please attend. fJl i 4 ft I 1 Clara H. Decker CAMBRIDGE Clara H. Decker, 83, died February 23, 1988 at the Mary McClellan Hospital, Cambridge, following a brief illness.

She was bom March 27, 1904, in Salem, daughter of Fred and Rosetta Phillips Decker. Miss Decker was employed at the Rice Seed Company, Cambridge, and at the Reis Mills, in Cambridge, for 20 years. Survivors include one sister, Mildred E. Decker of Cambridge; two nephews and one niece. Private services were held at the convenience of the family.

27, 1988, at her home. She was bom Aug. 19, 1936, in Hebron, daughter of Loren and Gladys Clark McNeil. Miss McNeil was a member of the West Hebron United Presbyterian Church. Survivors, in addition to her parents, are four brothers, James McNeil of Clinton, Douglas McNeil and Loren McNeil both of Salem, William McNeil of Boston, one sister, Mrs.

William Wills of Fort Ann, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Spring interment will be at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle. There are no calling hours. The family suggests that contributions take the form of donations to the West Hebron United Presbyterian Church.

George A. Johnstone ALBANY George A. Johnstone of 28 Bridle Path died Feb. 20, 1988, of cardiac arrest at the Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was taken the previous day. He was bom Dec.

29, 1916, son of Albert and Bertha Johnstone. The Johnstone family were residents of Route 22 on Hedges Lake, when his father operated the Hedges Lake Pavilion. Survivors include his wife, Lucille; one son, Thomas Johnstone of Rensselaer, and five grandchildren. Another son, George Johnstone preceded his father in death. A memorial service was held Feb.

23 at the William J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Rensselaer, by the Rev. David Handy, pastor of the First United Medthodist Church of Rensselaer. Spring interment will be in the Greenbush Cemetery, East Green-bush. Marion D.

Marchaland EASTON Martin D. Marchaland, 84, of Burton Road, died Friday, Feb. 26, 1988, at the Mary McClellan Hospital, Cambridge, after a short illness. She was born April 6, 1903. in Salem, daughter of George, and Sarah Pinkerton Donnison.

She was an insurance broker and managed an insurance and real estate business with her husband, Louis. She was a former school teacher and an amateur artist. Mrs. Marchaland was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church, the Twentieth Century Club and various area art groups, including the Batten Kill Art League. Her husband, Louis, died in 1979.

Survivors include one son, Louis E. Marchaland of Easton; four daughters, Barbara Coburn of Pittsford, Mrs. Guy Keefer of Loudonville, Mrs. Albert Smith of Baltimore, and Mrs. Downs Spitler of Wilson, N.C.; one sister, Sadie Adams of South Wales; 16 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services were conducted Monday morning at Flynn Brothers Funeral Home, Greenwich, by the Rev. Todd Robinson and the Rev. Downs Spitler. Interment will be in the Greenwich Cemetery. The family suggests contributions take the form of donations to the Easton-Green wich Rescue Squad.

Rev. Rodney Beal CAMBRIDGE The Rev. Rodney Beal, a former pastor of the Cambridge United Presbyterian (Brick) Church, died Jan. 24, 1988, at his home in Royal Oak, following a long illness. He had been a pastor of the Pontiac United Presbyterian Church since leaving Cambridge more than 26 years ago.

Survivors include his wife and three children. Dr. Stiles Ezell SALEM Dr. Stiles D. Ezell, 82, formerly of Salem died Tuesday (Feb.

23,1988) at his home in Manchester, Vt. Bom in Spartanburg, S.C., on Jan. 2, 1906, he was the son of Walter and Ella Ezell. Dr. Ezell was a graduate of Spartanburg High School, a 1928 graduate of Furman University, Greens-burg, S.C., and earned his M.D.

degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, in 1931 Dr. Ezell and his first practice in Middletown, from 1935 to 1951 He then held the post of secretary of the New York State Board of Medical Examiners. In this position, he evaluated more than 8,000 graduates of foreign medical schools. Dr. Ezell lived in Loudonville from 1952 to 1967.
